BALLERS PARADISE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & EXPOSURE CAMP JUNE 3-5, 2022

On June 3-5, 2022 Ballers Paradise, LLC will mobilize the Capital Region basketball community up at one of New York State’s premier family oriented basketball facilities – The Sonju Sports Complex at Camp-of-the-Woods. The complex boasts 4 full length courts, one of them being the 1986 NBA All-Star Court. The Camp is open to boys and girls 10-18 and will feature the following events:

A Friday afternoon Combine, Clinic; a Friday evening Top 50 Boys & Girls All-Star Game; competitions including Three Point Competition, Slam Dunk and 1vs1. Saturday and Sunday events will feature the 7th Annual Hoops 4 Hope AAU Tournament. And If that was not enough, Ballers Paradise has partnered with Febabu [Federation de Burundi du Basketball] and are preparing to welcome 15 of the top boys basketball players from Burundi, Africa. This is a rare opportunity for your athlete to meet, greet and compete against 15 of the best from the imploding African basketball nation.

NORM SONJU SPORTS COMPLEX

The athletic complex was named in honor of Norm Sonju, the tireless champion and dedicated supporter of the ministry of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. Norm Sonju, former owner of the Dallas Mavericks served on the board from 1970 to 2020. He was the visionary and coordinator of the CAMP-of-the-WOODS Pro Basketball Clinics for 33 Summers [1963-1996]. Over three decades 56 NBA players and coaches made the trek up to COTW to train hundreds of up and coming elite youth basketball players from around the country. Don’t be surprised if Norm himself makes a special guest appearance :)

Our goal for this camp is to create an experience on and off the court that will hone the character, skills and talents of our athletes (your children) that will help them compete at the highest level against other elite ballers. Second is to unite the Capital Region basketball community and provide a truly enjoyable and unforgettable vacation experience for every family that attends.
